Mikael is Michael the Archangel: one of the loyal angels and a direct enemy of Lucifer and the Fallen. Odin turns Loki into a mocking propaganda-name for him; over time, the Rus and Hidden Oath reclaim the insult until it becomes a title they use without shame.
Hakon’s encounter with the Blue Grove exposes the horror beneath the apparent benevolence of the gods and becomes foundational to the Hidden Oath and later Rus legacy.
Sten was an ordinary fourteen-year-old who went willingly to the Blue Grove believing he had been chosen. His later severing proves that at least some so-called monsters remain victims beneath what was done to them.
